George W. Divelbess

Company B, 4th Michigan Infantry

From Steuben, Indiana, George enlisted for 3 years service at Adrian, Michigan on June 20, 1861 at the age of 20. He was seriously wounded and captured on July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg, Pa. He was released and recovered from his wounds attaining the rank of Corporal before he was discharged at the end of his term of service at Detroit, Michigan on December 23, 1863
