Enlisted in CO. G, 6th Michigan Cavalry, 16 Feb. 1864 at Kalamazoo, MI. for three years. Mustered 16 Feb 1864. Transferred to CO. I, 1st Cavalry, 17 Nov 1865. Mustered out at Salt Lake, UT., 10 Mar 1865. Angivine participated in the raid on Richmond, VA. - known as Kilpatricks Raid. Fought in the Battle of the Wilderness 6 May 1864. Present at Appomattox Court House surrender. Shipped to Powder River, Wyoming where he saw limited action against the western tribes. Discharged Corporal. Returned to Battle Creek where he lived the rest of his life.
